Matching up scale halves

I’m digging the hell out of this tutorial! This is Great! :y

Now! Inquiring minds want to know: Where the Hell did you find those tiny washers??????? I’ve never seen anything quite like them!

I have the 1/8” brass ones that ‘blend in’ but they don’t ‘disappear’ like yours do! Also are these old eyes deceiving me or are they ‘round’ like a Neoprene O-Ring? :shrug:

These, I got a little bag full from a friend. He was disappointed in the tiny size as he wished a regular type more modern collar. I adapted them to this usage a long while back. I need to ask him where he got them. Under magnification, one side is flat and rougher, to go downward. The other side is more polished and has rounded edges, to go upward. I will find out and report back.

Roy, there are these from Fastener Express #0 Flat Washer NAS620 CO 18-8 Stainless

or these from Microfasteners FWSSO .062 x .125 x .017

The ones from Microfasteners are a a tad 'sturdier' but still a lot smaller than their regular size #0 in stainless
The brass #0's are .065 x .125 x .017

Not sure what size Tom is using. Maybe he can get his Verniers out . :)

Best I can come up with using my redneck calipers is right at .050 x .100. As I said, they are tiny!
I think stainless as they get picked up with a magnet!

Thanks to my mate Oz I found this:

#0 Flat Washer NAS620 CO 18-8 Stainless

I found a conversion chart and here are the results of the OD of the washer (Approx)
3/32=.094

Any Help? :shrug:

Yes I'm figuring that it is a generic washer picture! I've seen that same kind of thing online many times! For instance I was looking for a 4 stage step pulley for a project and the picture that showed up was the same one as a the 3 stage step pulley!:gaah:

But that's another project yet to be posted! hehehe

Great tutorial Sharptonn and a good read as well.
The pinning method described here and in the linked threads makes so much sense, it's the smaller details that I have been missing in my efforts to get the pins nice and tight.
The scale matching information is top notch IMO, something I will try to copy in my future restores.
