Over the last week I have repinned two razors. One only needed the pivot pin replaced along with the inside washeres. The second was a complete scale replacement and I used washers on either side of blade. I peened the pin end in a vise enought to hold the cover washer in place, inserted it through the scales, washers and blade then commenced peening the pin on both sides. Even though I have peened the ends out to the size of the cover washers the blades are still quite loose. If I continue peening am I in danger of cracking the scales? What else might I do to tighten these blades in the scales?
