    Default Otto cleanup

I've been looking for this Otto for a while now and took a chance on this one. Overall in good shape, but some hazyness and rough surfaces in the scales.
There was also a small crack near the pivot end, but not connected to the pin.
I started with polish but went to 1500 grit to try to get the hazyness out. For areas that I worked for a while I can see good results, so I'll have to keep working the rest of it.
I used thin CA on the small crack and built up the void, then sanded down. You can still see the line but at least it won't catch on anything now.
I did very light adjustment on the pin to tighten it up, but I see the scale right underneath turning lighter color, so I'm scared to go any further That loose pivot bothers me!
Anywho, nothing fancy here but just thought if share.

Nice razor, I’d tighten it up and if it cracks… there’s a guy in Orange who is a wiz at removing the bolsters and inlay that I’m sure would help you re-scale it.

I'm drooling, been wanting an OD Hans for a long time. Good work!

Thanks everyone. And thanks to 10pups and wolfpack for pushing me to fix that loose pin, with 10pups himself on the hammer too!

Gorgeous razor and nice restore. I have one I just recently redid and another that I am trying to find a blade for.
