Thanked: 1184Make sure you get passed the crack. They sometimes go micro passed where you think they end.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 25Got it done! I decided to kinda do a straight point, but bring the edge point back in a touch and I will round it off a bit to make it a bit safer. This way I can run the very end close to my ears and the point won't slice my ear, but I will still have a fairly fine point for precision if I need it. Hit the blade with the buffing wheel a bit to brighten it up a little, didn't clean the buffing residue off fully before the pics though.

Thanked: 118415 YARD PENALTY for picturing without wiping. Repeat the down. That's what I say to myself every time I do that. Mostly notice before I choose a pic to post. Go back take more pics. I am getting better about it :<0)

Thanked: 25I tried shaving with it, I guess I didn't hone it enough, it was pulling constantly. Back to the hones, but at least the crack is fixed!!

Thanked: 25Flattened my stones, started at a Bester 1200 to set the bevel, San Aoto (3-5K, much harder than normal Aoto's), then on to a Yaginoshima Asagi with slurry, Chinese 12K and then to my Ozuka Asagi. At the end of the stones, I saw I had set a MUCH nicer bevel than the last time I sharpened it. It would tree top arm hairs when I held it a little above the skin. Stropped on an Illinois 127 and shaved with it. MUCH better, less pulling!! This is fun now!
