Thanked: 284Otto cleanup
I've been looking for this Otto for a while now and took a chance on this one. Overall in good shape, but some hazyness and rough surfaces in the scales.
There was also a small crack near the pivot end, but not connected to the pin.
I started with polish but went to 1500 grit to try to get the hazyness out. For areas that I worked for a while I can see good results, so I'll have to keep working the rest of it.
I used thin CA on the small crack and built up the void, then sanded down. You can still see the line but at least it won't catch on anything now.
I did very light adjustment on the pin to tighten it up, but I see the scale right underneath turning lighter color, so I'm scared to go any furtherThat loose pivot bothers me!
Anywho, nothing fancy here but just thought if share.
