Thanked: 284Kikuokan Tamahagane cleanup
Got this beauty from an esteemed colleague and decided to take it apart to clean some corrosion around the pivot/tang and do what I could with the minimal pitting.
Drilled the pin with a center drill and was able to save only 1 washer.
Started with 400 grit and worked up to 2500.
I could have done a better job of getting the lower grit scratches out cause I had a big jump in grits.
Replaced the pin with stainless. Man I like working brass much better.
Still practicing
Can't wait to hone it up!
