    Default Sweet Find For Me!

Yesterday, I went to the hardware store down the street from me. Within walking distance. In Urasoe, Okinawa, Japan. No idea what it's actually called, but it's mascot is a Lion, so I call it the DIY Lion store. I found some REALLY nice ebony and zebra wood!!! 3-5mm thick, 20, 30 or 60mm wide all in roughly 1 foot lengths. Also have 1"x1" and 2"x2" roughly blocks. (sorry for the mix of standard and metric there. Typical American living abroad). Perfect sizes for making some scales!! Good thing I already have some pinning materials on the way. I grabbed a bunch!!! Going to be making some scales, brush stand and multiple razor stand. They were all 200-800 yen a piece ($2-$8). The fact that it was right there in front of me, in my hands was what sealed the deal. No need to wait for lengthy shipping times from the US. I left it all back at the shop, I'm already home for the night sipping on some single malt. I will get you all some pics ASAP.
