    Default smiling Joseph Rodgers

    Hi guys.
Here's an interesting razor I got off ebay recently. I'm a big Joseph Rodgers fan so I couldn't pass this up when it popped up. Los like a w crown r, so 1830-37? I am starting to clean it up and I will be posting new pictures as I progress through the stages.

it appears to be a worthy project. You may want to check to make sure it will take and hold a bevel before you get too much into it.

I had my eye on that one too. Can't wait to see it finished, it's a very unique blade.

Very very nice. It's going to be a difficult one to hone correctly (what with this cheschire smile), and to set anew, but it's definitely a worthy project, for a blade I'd love to try
Beautiful is important, but when all is said and done, you will always be faithful to a good shaver while a bad one may detter you from ever trying again. Judge with your skin, not your eyes.

Beautiful razor. I like smiling edges. This razor will be amazing once you restore it. It will be some hard work, but worth it. There should be no problem honning the razor like that. Just read about honning smiling blades. Gssixgun has a video on this on YT. Best of luck, let us know how it turned out!
