Thanked: 44A couple of things I do
There are a few things I have found useful and have not seen posted before. There may be a reason for that
I use paper towel rolls to store the razors I am working on. I fold one end put the razor inside and fold the other. I put spring clips on each end and mark it with a piece of painters tape. That way I can pull the tape off when I put another razor inside. Keeps it organized and protected.
When I making scales this my sound nuts but it has worked well for me.
I take the blanks and wrap each one of them tightly with painters tape. I take the two wrapped pieces and glue them together with contact cement. There will not be any glue on the blanks. I draw my outline and cut them. I leave them together until I need to do the final sanding. you can then pull the tape off the faces and pull them out with no damage at all. Only the two inner faces were glued. The contact cement holds everything rock solid during the process.
Just my thoughtsAmateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic!

Yeh I use tape between the scales also, then use double sided tape to hold them together
And they come apart clean with no glue or junk on the scalesSaved,

I've found the double sided tape to be easier to work with as well.
As for storage of works in progress, I use small ziplock bags so I can see which I'm working on.
