Default Anyone use this method for CA?

I hear lots of talk of finishing with CA. Does anyone use this method for brush handles? CA mixed with linseed oil, could I do the same thing for scales? Not on a lathe obviously. But this seems a lot easier than applying a bunch of coats and sanding and more coats and sanding.

I have heard of this being used in woodworking but have not yet tried it. I'm hoping to get my workbench built this weekend and get back to making stuff soon after. If I think of it, I'll give it a shot, but am curious to hear what others have to say.

EDIT: watching the video reminded me of my #1 tip for working with CA: wear gloves! It's very easy otherwise to get stuck to things to which you don't intend to be stuck. Nitrile or latex should do the trick but I avoid powdered gloves just because I figure having powder near a clear finish might not be the best idea. YMMV, etc., and so on...

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I don't have a lathe yet but hopefully will be getting one and trying it. It looks like you get a more uniform application that will require less sanding. Now to just apply the same method to scales somehow
