i am pretty sure they will fit the razor i want to put them on, but if not how customizable are they if the need arises?

No.
Since they're blanks and not finished scales you will have to do some work on them for them to look and feel right.
I would reckon that they are as customizable as they are long since the pin-holes haven't been drilled yet(you're talking about shortening them if they're too long, right?).Last edited by Baxxer; 10-29-2014 at 12:49 PM.

That's the idea, from the pictures it seems there is no pin hole, I'll have to ask the seller.

Thanked: 4830they still need quite a bit of work. They are not as much of pre finished scales as pre started scales. If you are lacking the equipment to cut them out easily they are probably a good buy. They still need a little shaping, drilling, sanding and polishing. It will work but if you are looking for something a little more plug and play I don't think you will be that happy. They look quite flat so the drilling should be easy. The wedge will have to be adjusted for the razor being installed.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Rezdog, you have once again hit the nail on the head. I don't have any kit to cut them out, but I can shape them. They aren't drilled but that's not too hard. I don't want plug and play I still want a bit of input into the end product. I'll get them and see how I go

lol. I have a band saw and scroll saw, so if you ever find some nice wood, you are welcome to post to me with a template of scale shape and preferred thickness, I can easily cut to size and post back to you. Id only do a rough cut allowing you wiggle-room for sanding, rounding edges etc.
Just an offer, obviously it's easier to buy pre-made if you can find what you're after. It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

They look ok but you will have to modify them to your liking. I have bleached white bone blanks that I have made my own scales from. Here is a Wade & Butcher with a steamship on the blade that I made bone scales from scratch. I bought the bone on eBay. I made them thin like ivory scales with a brass wedge.
