I'm a big fan of Stealth/Barricade gun oil/preservative. One drop on tissue will do a full blade

I have one still kicking around here that needs attention. I will post a picture to this thread later today.
Take a double edged razor blade to them, the quickest way I have found to clean them up after they have been goo'd

Sharpton swears by some 3M product to preserve celluloid . I took it a step farther with tufglide to the whole thing. scales and blades. After it dried a light coat of Vaseline or petroleum jelly. Other options are to use the search engine here for long term storage. Lots of really smart people with different ideas about how to long term protect their treasures. Oil and steel have never had a problem. And Petroleum based falls into that category . Things to consider. Personally I cant keep from checking in on my storage straights, got a monthly schedule and such. New disease OCD SRM ( Straight Razor Monitoring)

I keep all my razors in a bell jar with some desiccant. Too much humidity in DC.
