    Default Need info for pin peening .

    Hey guys , can anyone tell me how I should peen pins . I have a set of new scales I'm putting on a blade . Do I need to anneal the end of the pin ? Also , how high over the washer should I cut the pin off ?

    I've only done maybe 20 razors or so, but I don't anneal and will usually eyeball somewhere between 1/64 and 1/32 inches of protruding pin before lightly tapping. There's lots of good stuff if you search here for "pinning". I also highly recommend both the Lynn Abrams' and Bill Ellis' videos.
