    Default Have a c-mon wedge that needs allitle TLC

    hello! I am new to razors and have a c-mon wedge that needs some TLC, it's got a TINY bit of surface rust on the tang, a chip near the point and some black stuff on the spine, I'll post pictures later.

    any help/ resourses anyone can recomend?

    look in the vendors section quite a few guys who do restoration,, or post your location so that if there is someone near you that can help

    The chip at the tip should hone out. Remember you will lose some blade height in the process but it does not look like that much. The spine might clean up with 000 steel wool or metal polish. Can't tell too much from the photo.

    If this is your only blade I would send it to one of the restorers in the classified section. C-mon is a good blade and should be restored and honed by an experienced person. You will then have a dandy shaver.

    Get a cheaper blade to learn restoring and honing.
    If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

    The black on the spine is mild rust. You can sand that out. Go here to learn a little about this:
