Gave it a go and it colored all the pitting too. But it is now at least noticeable. Before you couldn't really read it unless you looked at it hard. Thank Geezer for the help.
BTW, I found out that Birchwood Casey stuff is now being carried at Walmart.It's just Sharpening, right?
