Thanked: 4200Great pun. Can't believe I didn't work in into the title.
Good eye on the herringbone corner Shawn. A little detail, but I like the look too.
Here she is now that its getting populated.
And this little rig I'm designing will be my power strop/belt sander when all is said and done.
90vdc direct drive, VFD controlled, reversible and I have a set of 3"and 4" contact wheels for her. I have some leather on order and will be making 2"x30" leather strop belts, as well as I had some 2"x30" custom sanding belts made up in the 280-1000 grit range.
Will be used for final polishing of razors during restoration as well as turning tool sharpening depending on the grit and the goals.
Now I need to find a bench top drill press to retire my old craftsman portable stand. It works, but is looking a little tired.
More to come when I have my super strop finished.
Cheers, and thanks for the compliments. I live in the cramped frozen garage for too long,, promised myself the razors would move indoors.."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."
