I just started experimenting with a flapwheel that I bought. It is for use in a standard electric drill, not a dremel.

I got an old razor from Ivo that I sprinkled with water and then left to rust overnight. I then used the flapwheel on it.

The flapwheel left scratch marks all over the spine. When I put the wheel to the blade itself these scratches were a lot less severe. Probably because the contact surface is larger.

Is this something that can be expected? I have looked around, but it seems that flap wheels have a max grit of ~120. What is the next logical step after / in place of a flap wheel?
