Default where to find Carbon Fiber for scales...

I just won another wade and butcher off the bay but this one has a busted scale.... I want to make a set from Carbon fiber with a red or yellow wedge, but I am having issues finding a place to find the panels. well I can find carbon panels, but I dont need to get a huge sheet of it.... I was looking on the bay and found a number of them from China, but I dont want to drop cash on it and find it is one layer of carbon with a fiberglass backing....

So where do you guys source your panels? I think I only need a strip about 4 X 7 or so...

    Thanks for the advise guys.

search ebay for carbon fiber knife blanks. Send the Ebay seller a message and asked questions about his product. Most reply promptly.

Be absolutely certain to use a quality respirator when cutting or sanding carbon or any other composites
The easy road is rarely rewarding.

    Absolutely.

This stuff is like asbestos. It gets in your lungs and never leaves.

Actually, I'm of the opinion that a respirator is not enough. I would recommend use of a negative pressure exhaust vent used in conjunction with the respirator. This stuff scares me.
