Bullet Tumbler Cleaner
Hey yall...... Is a Bullet Tumbler Cleaner worthwhile to get to use on straight razors? I've read and seen where some guys use them on straight razors. I imagine it would help to get some of the nasty stuff off the razor before you started to sand it? Just curious to see what the pros and cons would be. Thanks!

Thanked: 3795I assume you mean a vibratory brass case tumbler. Yes that has been used a lot and there is a very long thread about it.

Do a search for tumbler in the top right corner.
There is a WHOLE LOT of info on this topic that is in the one thread.

Thanked: 1936Long story short, yes it is a good method that is less abusive to the razor than hand sanding. Keep in mind that it doesn't remove pits though. You can get a pretty good shine out of them. Now keep in mind that many of us are reloaders of ammunition, so we have one sitting around. I personally use walnut w/ polishing compounds in it, then corn media.
