Default Zebrano scales for my Frederic's

I bought two nearly identical Frederic's celebrated Sheffield straight razors from ebay. Their horn scales were full of insect bites. So I decided to rescale them. I chose zebrano wood, finished with CA glue , ebony wedge.. They look nice , (not as much as I expected though)
Here are the before and after photos, thanks for looking

I think you've done a really good job of restoring those two razors - however there are a couple of things that don't seem quite right to me. The scales are a nice shape but I would have thought that lining the grain up with the curve would look better. The other point is the spacer - a wedge would look better to me.

At the end of the day - they are your razors so I hope you enjoy some good shaves with them.
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

I agree with you lining the grain up with the curve looked better , The first ones were that way but a small accident ruined them.. And my left wood stock forced me that way..

Very nice work, from an artistic standpoint the grain of the wood works very well IMO.

Looks great to me! If you are not happy with them, you can send them to me and I will give them some love.
