I ordered some very nice black and honey buffalo horn and through my own stupidity I bought them too short.

Very innovative thinking Sir ! I can not tell by the photo ,but is it some type of scarf joint?

Thanked: 11Yes, that is the type of joint, though the overlap is quite shallow with very close fitted angles to allow for more surface area for gluing.
