    Default Buffalo Horn Scales

    I ordered some very nice black and honey buffalo horn and through my own stupidity I bought them too short.
    So I combined them in a way that provided the length needed.

    Yes, that is the type of joint, though the overlap is quite shallow with very close fitted angles to allow for more surface area for gluing.

    Seems to have been successful as they flex well.
