Some of the larger Hobby Stores also carry Nickle silver rod in 1/16th at a very fair price. And...it is the right temper for pinning. I have purchased from Hub Hobbies. Unless you go into the K&S metals area a phone call is necessary to find for on line purchase. Some stores have K&S but not the nickle silver rod. They may be able to get it for you next re-order.

Thanked: 0I have one other question. I have a bench vise that has an anvil. i seen the video on pinning and he put a hole in the hammer for the pin to sit in while peening. Since i will be using bullseye washers. should i do this? or what size hole and how deep to make a hole on my anvil? thank you

There is one more, I used maas to buff the blade out. I really dont know if you can see. It turned out nice i thought. Thank you Guys for all the help
