    Default Custom Shaving Cabinet

I'm posting this mainly because I used this forum to get ideas when I was building my cabinet to hold all of my shaving products, so I thought I would share what I ended up doing. You can see that I'm not a Straight Razor purist, but I do enjoy it and am getting more familiar with it. I use my Double Edge razors most, Straight Razors on the occasional Saturday, and the dreaded cartridge when I'm in a hurry or it's too early for me to think. I used Armour Etch for the designs on the glass and an old rusty straight edge razor I bought on eBay for the handle. I still need to figure out the best way to hang my straight razors, I will keep looking for ideas.

Very nice. The razor for the handle was a good idea. I like it.

I think Geezer came up with a way to hang razors by their tail with small rare earth magnets. They are plenty strong and you can counter sink them for a flush fit. Something to think about.

There are cheap Rare earth magnets on the 'bay. At least 4mm thick and the diameter does not really matter a lot. Buy 50 or a hundred because you look to be a guy that is not going to stop with one cabinet or cupboard. Install all of they at the same polarity so your razors stand apart at the wedge ends.
    Above all...Have fun!

Thank you for the advice. I looked at your previous post and got a sense of what it would look like. I am going to look into this. Thanks again.

That's a nice cabinet Dodger - I'm betting than in a few months time you will be wishing you made it bigger - much bigger.
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.
