Thread: Looking for C-MON scales.

Specifically, I am looking for a set with an inlay in nickel silver, German silver or silver which matches the one shown in the photo below. I want to steal the C-MON inlay which is towards the center of the scales for my set which are missing this part. So, if you've got a junker C-MON or some C-MON scales with this, let me know what you're asking and we can talk. thx - John

I picked up a $25 "bucket of rust" over the weekend, which contained about 20 razors and in amongst the "the rubble", I found a really nice C-mon blade stuck inside a set of clear orange plastic scales that had totally "shrunk" onto the blade, locking the razor shut.

There was no way to "open" the razor. The only way to get the blade out was to remove the pins and diassemble the razor...

Unfortuntely, these scales were not the original C-Mon scales but some kind of replacment scales, which could only now be useful on a really much smaller razor...

This also happened on another "bargain" that I dug up recently. I managed to acquire a very nice R.W. Case razor with yellow plastic scales that had also shrunk onto the blade locking the razor in the closed position.

That razor was my first "lesson" in removing pins...
