Default Union Spike - large washers needed

I have a Union Spike razor which needs cleaning up. The problem I have is sourcing the large domed washers for peening. I've attached a photo for reference. I want to be able to put the razor back together to look as original as possible. I cannot find these washers anywhere. I'd like to have a few spares in case I cannot reuse the ones I remove. They are smaller than bullseye washers, but larger than those used on most new razors. Any ideas?

    Thanks for any assistance/advice.

Save the collars by drilling the pins in the middle. Re-use them!
Here is how I drill them in the middle, beginning in post 27 of this thread: http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...le-halves.html

Other ways to do it in the workshop sticky's as well.

You could neasure the OD & see if Microfasters or Fasteners expess have similar.
There are actually 2 sizes in the OD for #0 from Microfasteners.com

I like to retain as much OEM equipment as possible. BUT... I am a firm believer in having a "plan B".

In this situation, my Plan A would be to drill out the pin. Carefully. Plan A also falls well within the "wishful thinking" category; for me anyway.

Plan B would be to make my own domed washers from some flat ones. You will need washers that are likely just a smidge larger in diameter than the originals, and a Dapping block (sometimes called a doming block).

I've seen them at any craft store, and they usually come with the domed punches to do what you need. Harbor Freight has one with (linked below). Probably about the same price as the craft stores, but many more pieces to it.

Good luck! And remember: pics! Or it didn't happen!

Dude! It's a Spike! Whatever you do, just get it shaving! Cleaning it up within it's scales would be a winner, Looks pretty good?

    ebay search this:
""New! 12 Stainless Steel Domed Collars Washers to repair Old Sheffield Razors""
These are the good ones that fit to the scales.

Am I missing something ? From the pics they just look like flat washers.
