Default What's you final polishing product

I have and use Autosol on my baldes after restoring them. I was wondering if there was anything people were using after this or instead of to get the best finishes and how you applied it. Thanks for your help. Ed

My final is CrOx on a leather shammy. It seems to do a pretty good job.

That makes me wonder how polishing pastes would work on a strop or balsa for edge finishing.

On the blades I generally use Mothers. I have also used strop paste.

+1 for Mothers. I use that as the final polish on all my blades.

Someone turned me on to MAAS ( in the tube!)and it is my final...except when I use a very fine pumice for a final on older blades and scales (Sheffield.)
I also use toothpaste, headlight polish, Blue Coral, Simichrome polish, Mothers, and some others collected in metal working over the last decades.
All depends on the finish I want...and...whats closest to me at the time.

+1 on the MAAS and also on the whatever's closest. I have also used Flitz and Mothers and years ago used Brasso. I don't think there's much difference between the products; each does the job.

I sometimes just stop after sanding, but if I polish I use Flitz or fine rubbing compound on a microfiber cloth.

    I prefer flitz mainly.
But like geezer i use an array of polishing compounds.
Depending on conditions of the blade ,like etching, gold wash, light or heavy tarnish or rust will determine what i use.
Applyed by hand or dremmel. Whichever is needed for the job.

I have heard mass used a lot but it isn't available easily here without online ordering. I wonder how it compares to Autosol. Thanks for all the replies. I might need to do some research and see what I can get here
