First time...
This will be my first time trying to make a set of scales. I've been doing a lot of reading on the how and what parts I'll need to order for the pinning. My biggest questions I guess are what what medium do yall suggest that I get to make the scales from, btw this will be using hand tools as I have neither the space for power tools or the power tools. I do have a dremil but I don't want to go to that unless I really need to as I would like to go slower and take my time. I have found with most things if you mess up going slow it's a whole lot easier to fix than if you mess up going fast.
Back to to the medium, in addition to what kind where would be a good suggestion for obtaining it? I kinda like the idea of doing wood scales but really want something that will "pop" if you know what I mean. So with that said I'm not sold on wood over something else. My other razors are both pretty dark scaled so I think I'd like to go with a lighter shade of whatever I end up using.
These scales are going to go on a "Carbo Magnetic" 60 Griffon XX I picked up several months ago.
Thanks for the help, and mods if I put this in the wrong spot feel free to move it.

There are lots of scale materials and hardware available on eBay. Also here is a nice video of how to do it with minimal tools:

I've watched that video several times and it is actually what convinced me that I could do it without a belt sander or drill press or a table saw. I have looked at eBay for stuff and may go that route for buying stuff, just trying to figure out what would be good to start with.
