A quick note: you know that Harley razor? Yep it looked pretty good on the Bay. Then it arrives and guess what? As soon as you hold the razor for the first time you know there are some SERIOUS problems. You don't need to do anything beyond holding it. It feels wrong because it is wrong. Humility overtakes me as this is the biggest loss on the Bay for sure, only one other but that one was cheap. Mike, you were lucky you didn't 'win' this razor. Severely warped scales...not a problem....severely warped spine....a problem. Especially if it is only one side of the spine, sniff. Time to crawl back into my makeshift mancave and lick my wounds. I'm not going to post pictures, therefore, it didn't happen.
A thought: the tang stamp on this razor does not fit in the tang area. Much of the word Liverpool is missing. I believe the razor began life as a unstamped Sheffield shoulderless wedge and was reground by Harley in Liverpool. Harley was known as a cutler and hardware dealer...just guessing though.

Not happy at all to hear that Bill. Maybe it can be pulled back into shape, or at least shaveable.
Tom has an anvil, and a machinist's hammer now so can straighten out any edge, but the edge of town. Honest!!

I have never tried to get the edge of town in line, but I welded the crack of dawn once........:D

I'm sorry to read of your disappointment Bill. That sucks. I know the feeling, the supremely anticlimactic moment can be overwhelming.. as a flood of emotions morph from confusion to denial to rage and then begin to mix into an amalgam of dangerous proportions. Be strong, and please... fight the temptation to hunt that SOB down!

Well Mike, I have to eat this one. I feel that the seller did not have a clue what he was selling. I have used that to my advantage in the past. That strategy caught up with me...no worries. It is just money gone...shucks, in the 80's, I had quite a bit of money disappear up my nose.
