Edit: Maybe ill remove an equal amount from both sides, then find an equally rare material to use for the area that gets pinned? In my mind that would make the pinning process less stressful and nerve racking, and it will still look awesome.

What you could consider is taking the broken pieces off right back to the separators - that way it will be easier to hide the join and you will gave all new MOP for drilling and peening.

I have no idea how good this supplier is but they do carry some extra large pieces of MOP. By the way I've used both suppliers that Tom linked and they are good quality.

Not overdone, done just right Tom. When I heard you mentioning a hammer upgrade on another thread I thought, dat's da ticket.

A butcher may not appreciate another pound of ground round, but a new tool, that would be well received. Or such was the thinking.

Glad you noticed the magnetic base on the brush. Both practical, and a great way to hide the live center dimple left in the turned handles. I use a steel plate to let the poles align before they set so it's got some pretty good pull.

All the brushes I sent out were from the same block of Birdseye Maple, with mixed badger knots. Good lather makers. Kept one for myself as well from the set so it's kinda like a limited edition..

Believe it or not, that came across my mind when I saw how my best friends doctor that pulled his teeth & put in really good implants. The doctor is an inventor & one of the things he invented was a magnet that goes on the inside of your shirt & holds your pen on the outside of the shirt. He made a lot of money from it & sold the patent on it so if you ever see one, his doctor invented it. My best friend (I call him brother) told me last night on the phone he is giving me a Seiko diving watch he has because his dad left him a Presidential Rolex in his will, solid gold. He also has several Swiss Army dive watches.

It is called a 'machinist's hammer', but NOW, it's a peening hammer with a built-in magnifying glass! ;)

Nice hammer, sir! Now, that work space looks pretty organized. Maybe this weekend you could come over and help me sort out my garage. I would post a pic but it would be to embarrassing.
