That's hilarious! I wrote this after having a few drinks at the bar lmao
So basically I'm using white compound on a loose buffing wheel and it will leave black residue on the bone wedge... And a lot of the time it's hard to get out of there... I don't remember this ever happening in the past but I think that either I'm overloading the wheel or I need a new loose cotton wheel...Last edited by Dafonz6987; 10-31-2015 at 06:25 AM.

Thanked: 3215A 6 in wheel is generating too much speed and heat and not letting your compound work, 3 or 4 in will work better, brake cleaner or WD40, sprayed on a paper towel will get it off, Brake Cleaner can damage some plastics and finishes.
The minute you see black, rake your wheels.

for the sake of the newbie
Post if you must after indulging, but stay away from the buffer if you've been having adult cocktail - liquid or herbal. Its really easy to underestimate the velocity at which they'll grab and hurl sharp metal at very high velocities.

It's not a mystery. The black stuff is from you buffing over the pins.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Not to worry I don't drink and buff lol that's why the black is on a spare piece of bone and not a razor lol...
Actually that's really crazy I watch the wheel turn black on when I'm buffing the pins... Are u not supposed to or something?
