Thread: Question for folks that find their pinning rod at the hobby store

    I get mine at Ace. Seems like the larger ones have the displays. If that doesn't work a welder supply store should carry some.

    Struck out at Hobby Lobby. Might drop by and check again after the holidays when it isn't so packed, there was so many people there I could barely move about the aisles and it was during a work break so I couldn't really spend time carousing the store. But I found the model trains section and the balsa wood stock shelves and found nothing in those areas, or where they keep the jewelry and small jeweler's hammers. I did find some 14 gauge brass wire, good to know they at least have that.

    I also stopped by a store called Woodcrafter. Nice place, if I ever make another set of scales I may get stock from them since it's closer than Yukon Lumber co. I hear the zebra wood calling my name lol. They had brass pins, but only in 3/8 size. Much bigger than the 1/16 stock needed to pin a razor. Might have to just be happy with what I can find on Amazon, and build/keep a little stockpile of material.
