Thread: My First Kamisori

Just got my first kamisori. A couple of ebay finds, cost me almost nothing so it makes up for the rough state. They really have not been treated well, not shown in these pics, it looks like a dremel with a sanding drum has been run over them. As a learning tool they will do just fine, and maybe with a bit of work will turn out ok.

I know next to nothing about kamisori, other than watching gssixguns (always) fanatic videos on honing. If anyone can point me in the right direction for resources to learn about these it would be great, I'd love it if there was a ' history of Japanese razors' type book or link if you can share any bits of info about these or kamisori in general then I'd be grateful.

I'll put up some better pics later so I can ask more about restoring these but in general is it ok to sand these as I would with any other razor restore?
