    If I have to do a lot of work on a bevel I'll use a DMT 325. It's very fast and the jump to Chosera 1k is not that bad.

    well, I honed it and shaved with it this morning. Quite uncomfortable. Obviously as a newbie, this honing thing is gonna take some time. I can only imagine my bevel was never properly set. I thought it passed the thumb pad test, but maybe not. Under loupe, it looks pretty clean. Oh well...I think I need to get a 1k stone and start over from the beginning.

    The Chosera 1k is a beauty and adding slurry makes a huge difference to its cutting power.
