    Default Help! Lee Mfg. Co Chicago question, can it be saved?!?

    Hello;
    New member here with an heirloom razor in need of TLC. What can I do for the blade? Would it be possible to replace the blade and keep the scales? Are replacement/aftermarket blades available? Could the scales possibly be ivory?Name: IMG_4741.jpg

    You can't do anything for that blade. Pieces can't be added on. You could find another razor with a decent blade and swap the scales. They are by the way plastic not Ivory.
    Searching eBay would be the most Likely place to find a replacement .

    Pretty much what Mycarver said:

    Replacing the blade is an easy swap if find a suitable replacement. Original blade is shot. Scales (handle) is most likely celluloid (early plastic).
    The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.
