Thanks guys. It was an iffy purchase in the first place. I was seduced by the price. So I jumped thinking that if I could get a couple or three good shavers out of the bunch it would be OK. Just an FYI; the razor in the middle left appeared that it had no nomenclature at all but on closer examination, really, closer examination, there is very faint stamping on the tang that says, "Chapman Hand Hammered Hand Ground."
I think out of the six razors only three are salvageable. The crown cutlery in the upper right, the Joseph Elliot's and the Fredrick Reynolds. The others will become keepsakes and yet another cautionary lesson on being extremely careful when cruising the bay.
I've already cleaned up the Crown Cutlery and have cut and completed the initial shaping on a set of scales. I decided to go with some Recon Stone from Masecraft. Number 162 Dark Lapis with pyrite. I liked the look. What can I say?
It isn't what we take from life that makes us rich but rather what we give back to life that enriches our lives.

Mind you, if you wanted to learn about razor geometry & restoration, it would be worth attempting to hone that.
