Default Find that t know nothing about

I picked up this razor that I know nothing about. I bought it because the blade looked like it could be shave ready fairly easily. It says H.C. Wentworth & son and Germany on the blade. On the back of the blade tang it has 2238 stamped deeply, I'm sure it's from the factory. Can someone tell me anything about this razor?

I have the same straight razor, somebody at sometime took a buffer or a some rough polishing compound to yours and removed the etching, It should say in 3 lines "Real German Hollow" 2nd line should say "Trade Mark" 3rd. line should say "Hollow Ground". Mine has the same scales, I bought mine at a gun show for around $20.00. I'll see what I can find out about it, I've had mine quite a while now. I just checked it out If you punch in the name Then go to "images" on your computer and you will find out what your razor should look like. Btw. one razor Web sight wants $499.00 for it.

Strazors.com says it was Trade marked between 1909-1913. So far I have found nothing else on it. It should be an 11/16th wide razor. Edit, since it was only in production 4 years it could have been a hardware company that had them made and then went out of business. Just a thought.
