Autosol in Australia - it seems to be available in the US too, but you guys have many other alternatives. I use it on plastics that are looking a bit rough too, but it does leave minute scratches on plastic so I'd recommend an automotive cut and polish cream for that kind of work.

Thanked: 2284I've used 3, autosol, Flitz, and Mothers Mag. I find autosol worked really well, but I hate the smell. Flitz I use when I can't find my Mother's Mag. But Mothers Mag is my favorite.

I found the opposite to be true with the mothers having a really strong smell. I also have problems woth it seperating and needing to be mixed before use. I do think it leaves a slightly better finish than autosol though, but not as good as buffer compounds.
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed

I find all the above to work well! I do like to use a cerium oxide polish. I have found a headlight polishing product to be best for a final on plastics and softer metals. Not cheap but a good performer.
MAAS in the tube for most any polishing. The tube is different than the plastic bottle product which seems a lot coarser. A little goes a long way!.

Thanked: 101I have been using Meguiar's "Ultimate Compound" with great success. I use a good car polish afterwards to protect the finish.
