Cleanup Advice
I made a few antique store purchases recently for my first vintage blades. I wanted to poll you gents as to what the best way to clean these up would be. Thanks in advance for your help.
First up is this ERN, maybe just some WD-40? I don't want to do more harm than good.
I'm honestly not entirely sure what this razor is, any help in that department would also be appreciated. Again, should I just use a bit of WD-40 to preserve the goldwash?
Finally, I think I might just leave this Dubl Duck alone and get her honed...What do you think?

Thanked: 15I'm no expert but I start with a bit of metal polish such as Maas or Mother's mag polish. I would try not to even touch the gold at all.
The dd, hone it up. It looks to be in great shape! I'm thinking renaissance wax might help preserve the gold too. I don't think it's abrasive. Maybe a bit of jewelry polish or never dull?? The gold wash is super delicate. The Ern is definitely a candidate for s bit of polish though.
Great finds!

Nice finds! I can't give advice on process, but I'm going to say, leave that Duck alone. That's a beauty the way it is, it looks mint.

All three are good quality razors. I would try metal polish as before mentioned, that should be all you need. The Duck is fine like it is. All three will give fantastic shaves.....Enjoy!

I'm paranoid when it comes to goldwash. Just dish soap and water to remove germs for me.

Agree... Don't touch the duck.
The others will clean up great with a simple bath, and some rubbing with never dull. Just be extremely careful around the gold. Never dull is probably your least evasive cleaner by itself. If you want more shine, you can put some cr/ox on the never dull. Need a deeper clean...add Emory to never dull. For the bright shine...metal polish like Maas or flitz. They don't look to need much work, if at all.
Great finds..enjoy!!Mike

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll take it in baby steps and leave the Duck alone.
Does anyone know anything about the middle razor? Searching "Stursberg Solingen" yields disappointingly few results.
