Wade and Butcher.. top chip..
Ok.guys..This razor was perfect after i just restored it.. Then after a mishap this happened chip.at the toe.Im trying to save as much metal as i can while keeping to its shape..Was gonna round the tip..Whats your thoughts??

Could come straight up from the new end of the edge and meet the end of the spine?
(I moved a little on the second pic)

Thanked: 634I would round off enough to Remove the chip. Maybe even change the profile of the tip a little so not so much rounding.

Thanked: 3215Just re-profile the edge to a bit more of a smiling edge so you have a spike tip. No need to remove any length.
Do plan it well and mark the profile on the blade, (with sharpie ink) until you get the shape you like. WD40 easily removes the ink, if you want to see what it will look like.
The actual work just takes a few minutes.
