Default All of my recent work, customs and restorations

Hey guys! I know I'm not on as much as I used to be but I am very much active on the social media end. I have been busy as always learning tons and actually started making knives too.

I'm proud to announce that my custom razors I have been working so diligently on are finally starting to look like work that I would buy! It has been a huge pain in the ass to get everything symmetrical but as of late I have really been shown some serious improvement. The thing that finally made the huge difference was finally purchasing the capital VFD. Controlling the speed of my Belt down to a snails pace to do my final grinding and detailed work. Presently I'm playing around with finishes, I currently am using a trizact, cork and scotch brite belts and have been mixing and matching just seeing what works. I think my favorite thus far are the scotch brite and corks.

I have also built another grinder! I made a KMG clone and am currently in the works in finishing it up so when I'm done I'm sure I'll post some pictures sooner or later... So now I'll have a vertical and horizontal grinder, I am also running both grinders with the 1 kbac 27-D.

What is also new with my heat treating is in using cryogenic hardening, it's really been a blast learning metallurgy. I have been lucky enough to meet a knife maker here in Colorado who has been making knives the last 30 years so he has been giving me some awesome recipes. I've also been reading a book called metallurgy for the non-metallurgist just so I know why I take each step...

Well here are some pictures of my work! As always thanks guys!

Here is an actual thread I did on the first grinder build, maybe when I'm done with the newest grinder I'll make another thread on t as well... http://straightrazorpalace.com/forge...dventures.html

The second picture is showing a piece of 2" X 18" X 1/4" 01 tool steel flat stock, I've actually never bought a piece that wide before so I was drawing out my razors on them to see how many would fit
