Tarnished Tuesday SOTD
So I have been informed that Rezdog and Outback have decided that Tuesday, 10/4/16 will be 'Tarnished Tuesday' on SOTD!
So dig in the 'to-do' pile and drag out an 'ugly' which seems likely and get it honed-up.
Post it in SOTD on Tuesday!
Should be fun!

Thanked: 4827Well, I am going to post a beauty. True patina, the deep glowing gray that develops with great care over a long time, is a thing of Beauty from my perspective. There is also created patina. It is made from vinegar and bluing or Jax, and sometimes a little bleach thrown in for good measure.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

I myself will post my most patina covered blade, with a few pits here n there. But like Rez,its all created from time.
And a real treat to shave with, and part of my top shelf shaver rotation.
We see the pretty ones all the time, it's time for the under dogs to shine. [emoji41]Mike

I dug one out which is fairly crusty with real-deal tarnish and oxidation going on.
Can I at least wipe the blade off with alcohol?
I will begin to get a bevel on it to-day!

I was going to use my razor that was dropped off of a semi on an interstate covered in 5 grit, but I may be able to get a real interesting blade up to snuff... Has some good tarnish on it...

This will be fun. I've been in "make it look beautiful" mode for the last couple weeks and have been underappreciating my underdogs. Time to bring one out of the pound I think.
