Thread: Shop storage and source ideas

Recently I have been looking to redoing, storage in my shop and looking for ideas to maximize space.

I came across this video on the TESTED YouTube channel and an interview and tour of Adam Savage’s shop, from Myth Busters.

In this video they talk about the Sortimo storage system, it is a great modular, fully adjustable storage system. It is pricy, but looks very interesting and useful. I use a lot of clear plastic storage boxes, but it drives me crazy that they are all different sizes.

This modular system is an OCD dream. The good thing is, you can just buy what you need and can always add to the system, and it will all fit together.

This channel, shop tours and discussions are packed with great shop ideas. Some of the other videos go into sources for finding unique tools and materials that may be useful to many of us, as does this one, on building an inexpensive toolkit.

It is an interesting channel, with lots of good ideas.
