Custom razors, stabilized woods, recent work
What's up SRP! Just stopping in to show some of my work! Definitely have been a busy bee, working in making knives now too... I wouldn't call my grinding perfect by far but I am able to control my grinds a lot better than I could. Personally I think the new VFD is what did it for me. Definitely a must have if ur one the fence about getting one! another thing I would need to recommend to people is the cork belts, they absolutely put a great shine on the blade and the blade I'll be posting were finished with corks.
i have been dabbling in stabalizing woods, here are some pictures of them right out of the vacuum chamber! Sprayed them with a little water to show their figure and dye. Whoa! This is like another hobby!
also here are some more restorations, a lot of Ducks I came across recently I had 10 of them which was nice just to have but like everything else they all come and go...

Thanks for sharing, some really nice images there. The woods are just
The scales on the first razor are stunning, I think that french point might be a tad long for those blue scales though...
I am jealous of your set up and your restorations look pretty sweet too. Thanks again.Fact: Opinions are not the same as facts... Well, that's my opinion anyway

I like your work thus far great job. Is it the angle of the photo? I agree the second razor looks too big for the scales. Beauts though.

Cork eh? Interesting. Could you say more about that?
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

Thank you! It has certainly been a adventure getting my setup, just cannot wait till i move out of the city and get my forge and hydrylic press setup! That's when thing will be awesome!
Nothing gets past you guys, I was wondering if anyone was going to call me on it, so both sets of those scales are my templates. One thing or another is wrong with them so I just use them for mocks...
Thanks brother! I appreciate the kind words, u guys are correct!
Couldn't agree more, I don't know how I went without for so long!
Yeah I can, maybe I'll go ahead and make an entire thread about them... giving up all I know and we all can collaborate and get what everyone knows!
