Thread: dmblade 021 - tamahagane western grinded kamisori

Hi guys,

It's been a while since my last post...

So I got this broken tamahagane katana to work with...



With angle grinder i cut what I can.






First impact of abrasive on 170 mm wheel...


Thant all for now.

looks good so far! can't wait to see more.

Step by step on grinder...





And after that polishing...










Now it's time to touch the stones.

After shave test I was not happy with result. I didn't get good angle on this geometry.

Razor is shorten, regrinded and polished again. Now with correct angle.






After honing now I get nice shave, littlebit keen but ok.


After shave I did some passes on CrOx so I hope next shave will be more smooth.
