Default Great source for horn and bone blanks

I've found a really good source for horn and bone blanks and thought I would share. The pricing is significantly less than from etailers. This recommendation is for folks that have a band saw and belt sander. I don't recommend the pre-cut scales currently as many of them are very banana shaped. I'm working with her to understand and get the scales cut in American sizes, though that will take a little while.

This is a small family business and is a family from India. They import a variety of things.

    On eBay, they are:

From this page, you can click on 'items for sale'. She also deals direct. You don't have the eBay protection, though I have found her to be honest. Her name is Meera. Her email is meerasarin12@gmail.com and number is 404-492-0236.

Below are pics of some blanks I just received.

Here is what you need to know in dealing with Meera:

    • English is not her first language.
    • Make sure to specify 6 inch blanks.
    • Be very specific in telling her what you want. Example, if you want solid black, don't order 'black', order solid black with no spots or color other than black.
    • I would assume that Masecraft and Maggards orders will match what you order better. Though, you are getting these for about half the cost of these other sources and many of the blanks are thick enough to rip into two, possibly three, blanks, depending on what kind of saw you have.

So, with that, here are the pics.

Yup, I have bought a lot of horn from them, very nice stuff, beautiful color, nice and flat. I have bought the black, brown, honey, and black and brown streak.

The brown is root beer brown with and comes with white streaks. Fast, well packed shipping.

I won't use masecraft anymore. They charge shipping after your purchase and it is way too expensive IMO. Of course I don't buy $100's of dollars worth.
