I've purchased some and I think it will work well. I'm having a little trouble with my hammering hand and can't say yet whether it will have to be melted.

I cam across another product I want to try for 'special occasion' razors, which is no tarnish sterling silver called Argentium Silver.

Sterling Silver is a 93.5% pure alloy. Through history, the other 6.5% has been copper, which provides enough structure that it can be worked with. Tarnish is caused by the copper. Argentium replaces the copper with metalloid germanium, which dramatically reduces tarnishing.

Would be a bit expensive for everyday razors, though should be good for special occasions.
    RezDog and outback like this.
