Thanked: 77Currently my method for storing my razors is dry them out very well, oil them with mineral oil being very sure to get the oil in the pivot. I'm currently living in Elmont Texas which is not a particularly high humidity area but we have had a lot of rain recently! And then the razor sit on a shelf in my room!!
Thank you all for the help so far!!

Thanked: 3795The best way to keep your razors dry is to never let them get wet. Rather than dipping or rinsing your blade in water, just wipe the lather off onto a cloth or sponge.

Where exactly is the rust ? Is it a spot that contacts the scales ?
Are the razors new ?
Has someone touched the razors post oiling ? (Acidic skin chemistry)The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

First avoid rooms with humidity. Do you know that you evaporate between 1 to 2 pounds of water every night?
Then : houses in Texas are often well equipped : airco prevents to dry air !!!
Avoid also the new packaging like Dovo plastic or metallic boxes, consider cardboard material. You can also have a nice wooden box filled with rice.
