Nice! I fell down a rabbit hole of Soviet copies of German rangefinders a few years ago and ended up with a couple of Feds and several Kievs. I absolutely love the Kievs.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I just finished up one of my little projects, a jig for sanding blades. Yes, I do pay attention and I'm certainly not too proud to copy an idea one that another of you guys have posted here. I'll admit that I overbuilt it a bit but everything was in the shop (outside the niobium magnets that I brought with me) so nothing expended outside a little time.

Next up is the torture of trying to find places to store some of the crap that's washed up in Dad's workshop. The fact I'm having to straighten up a shop that I leave organized is irritating but it has to be done. So much better to be using the skills Dad taught me on a project than sorting through junk Mom has dumped here. Oh well, complaining isn't accomplishing anything!

I'll toss some pics up this evening of what I've accomplished in the way of projects. Being here alone and missing my father is tough but playing with a couple shave projects and conversing with you gents makes it easier.

@jmabuse - I don't own a single round toe and don't plan really plan to. I started with a muted square and I've only had one (non-muted) that got my attention the hard way. This doesn't mean that I won't round this one if I have to but I'd prefer to avoid it. That said, thanks for the encouragement, moral support is always welcome!

I ran outta steam this afternoon so no pics for the time being. The other piece of bad news is that while I have some scale material around none of it is sized appropriately for straight razor scales. Oh well, I have enough to do without getting sidetracked...
