    Default 01 8/8 Abalone scales

man, this came out soooo nice i had to share! so i got this abalone from masecraft, its the alvs stuff, it came with a pretty nice finish so i tried to keep that the best i could but putting painters tape on it then contouring where i had to... that actually worked out pretty well!

So on my last thread i had max ask me about the thickness of my bevels so i thought i would snap a picture to show it, they are pretty thin and even, it does get thicker by the heel but not by much. If i chase it then i end up chasing my tail fixing other small bumps in the road i have so i tend to get it looking as nice as i can then stopping... if i kept going the material just becomes way too thin... i am hoping that one day i dont have that 2" faset when im working on the heel but ill be patient and give it some time. i was going to put the other bevel on the shoulder so it fits in the scales better but i didnt have that issue with this razor, the scales didnt hit it or some close so i left it alone...

    thanks guys

Very nice looking. love the scales. Curious about the placement of the bottom pin, is that just for looks?
    How does it shave?
