    Default Faux Tortoise

Still questing for a good faux tortoise scale material. Masecraft no longer sells the Tortuga East which more closely resembled the dyed horn Sheffield scales. It is at the top of the photo.
Beneath it is Kirinite Imitation Tortoise which I recently tried. I ordered a 1/8" x 6" x 12" sheet to experiment with. It is by far the hardest of the acrylics I have tried. Closer still to tortoise but not quite there. I know Voidmonster has been looking. Anyone else have experience with a faux tortoise material suitable for scales.

    Hello Karl,

I wanted to mention that I thought the last set of scales you made, with this Kirinite, look distinctive and beautiful.
